The brand
Modern classics that never stopped feeling modern.
Flos was founded in 1962 in Merano, Italy, by Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina. Its early collaboration with Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni produced lamps that are still in production, and still in demand, more than sixty years later.
Today the catalog runs from those originals to contemporary designers such as Michael Anastassiades and Jasper Morrison. We carry both, and help clients pair them.
Taccia
Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed Taccia in 1962. A glass reflector rests on a fluted base, bouncing light softly upward and out.
It reads as sculpture on a console or side table, and has been on display at Switch.
IC Lights
Designed by Michael Anastassiades, IC Lights balances an opal glass sphere on a slim brass or metal ring, a study in poise.
The family includes wall, ceiling, pendant, table and floor versions. Here, a set of wall fixtures from one of our installs glows against dark wallpaper.
